Based on the preference of over 160,000 career seekers, with either a business or engineering background from the world’s top 12 countries (based on GDP), Universum has complied a report on ‘The World’s Most Attractive Employees 2011’

In both categories, Google is ranked number 1 as the top company in terms of attractiveness for job seekers. On the Business index, Google repeats the win for the third consecutive year, with KPMG keeping its second place and with PwC overtaking Ernst & Young to secure 3rd place.

On the Engineering index, again Google finds the way to the top spot for the third consecutive year, but with IBM in the second position, relegating Microsoft to the 3rd spot on what seems to be a very strong competition for talent in the software industry.

Google was ranked as the World’s Most Attractive Employer as job seekers perceive it to be a great place to launch a career plus offers a new working culture in a dynamic environment. The software industry is highly dependent on its human capital, therefore its efforts to retain its workforce tend to be higher.
